Our Story

For Healing,
Not Profit

Welcome to Compassion Neuroscience! We are the first nonprofit clinic dedicated to making Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), neuroimaging, and advanced applications of neuroscience more accessible. We treat depression, anxiety, peri/post-partum, OCD, and PTSD.

Our Mission

Make TMS more accessible.

Honor our Nation’s Fallen by caring for their Families without charge.

Heal with Compassion.

Heal with Neuroscience.

Heal in that order.

Russ and Heidi Toll founded this clinic to answer that call to heal.

Russ is an assistant professor of psychiatry at UT Southwestern, an Army combat veteran, and a graduate of West Point. He earned his PhD in bioengineering at Stanford, specializing in TMS, EEG, and MRI. He is also a National Science Foundation GRFP Fellow.

Heidi is a Registered Nurse with Board Certification in Pediatrics. Her 15 years nursing experience includes service at Stanford Children’s Hospital spanning oncology to eating disorders to float team – a select group skilled enough to step in to any department in the hospital.

They have 3 young children and are parishioners of Milestone Church in Keller. Acting on faith, in 2021 they took all the savings they had, bought a MagVenture TMS system, and built this clinic together.

Our Values

Humanity First.
Compassion is the core of humanity.

It is immoral to profit from suffering.
We measure success in lives made better, not revenue generated.

We are healers, not judges.
Every person deserves dignity, kindness, and respect.

You are safe here.
We are proud allies of the marginalized.

When they are most vulnerable, people place their trust in us.
We keep this trust sacred.
